Starting next week, Wednesdays will be a virtual learning day. Individual schools could return to reduced capacity or all-virtual, depending on COVID-19 conditions in the future. Buy a gift card, get one free. Starting at 8 a.m., you can buy a $25 Downtown Roanoke Gift Card and receive a bonus $25 gift certificate. The bonus gift certificates must be used by March 14th. There are only 1,000 available and they are expected to sell out quickly. There is a limit of ten gift cards per person.

Pulaski County schools will soon return to 100% in-person learning Students will attend 100% in-person learning starting February. Tags:  PULASKI COUNTY, Va. – Next week, Pulaski County teachers, students and staff will be back in school buildings. Starting Feb. 3, students will return to 100% in-person learning, according to a Facebook post by Pulaski County Public Schools. Students will return to class Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, although there are a few exceptions: Wednesday, Feb. 3 will be an in-person learning day to avoid kicking off the semester with a virtual day. Tuesday, March 23 will be a virtual day while Wednesday, March 24 will be an in-person learning day. This will allow schools to be able to serve as polling locations for the special election to fill the late Sen. Mark Chafin’s seat.

Staff from every school in the division could be vaccinated by the end of the week. “It was very easy. You go in, you give your paperwork, you sit down, they give you the shot. It wasn’t very painful at all,” explained fifth-grade teacher Linda Boadwine. Since so many essential workers fall within the Phase 1B vaccination category, New River Health Director Dr. Noelle Bissell expects it to take some time.
