LITTLE ROCK, Ark Little Rock Police Department said over the past year they ve had a few incidents involving children attaining access to a firearm. There have been two accidental shootings involving minors within two weeks of each other this month.
Police say a 2-year-old accidentally shot herself in the head on Dec. 10.
As a result of their investigation, the child s father was charged with negligent homicide and simultaneous possession of a firearm and drugs.
This past weekend, an 18-year-old was shot and killed by a juvenile. As a result of a police investigation, homicide detectives determined this was an accidental shooting.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says deputies clocked a vehicle speeding at 100 miles per hour on Highway 461. When police tried to pull it over the driver, 45-year-old Jeffrey W. Holder of Clay City, refused to comply leading them on a dangerous high speed chase. After several turns attempting to evade police, police used a tire deflation device to finally stop Holder. Deputies found 3 passengers with Holder, including 29-year-old Carah W. Bell of Somerset who has several charges pending and 38-year-old Dana Glover of Somerset who had a parole warrant from 2016. In addition to speeding and fleeing and evading, Holder had a warrant for his arrest. Holder and Glover were arrested and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark According to Little Rock police, an 18-year-old man is dead after suffering a gunshot wound.
Police say they assisted the Pulaski County Sheriff s Office with a shooting incident in the 5200 block of Peach Leaf Cove shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Upon arrival, officers found 18-year-old Dante Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. Jones later died from his injury.
As a result of the investigation, homicide detectives determined this was an accidental shooting.
Police say a minor has been charged with manslaughter, tampering with evidence, and possession of a handgun by a minor.

The case of a Powell County man arrested for driving over 100 mph earlier this month is headed to the Pulaski County Grand Jury.
Jeffrey Wayne Holder, 45, of Clay City, was arrested December 7 on charges of first-degree Fleeing or Evading Police (Motor Vehicle), three counts of first-degree Wanton Endangerment, Menacing, Resisting Arrest, Reckless Driving, Speeding 26 MPH or greater than the speed limit, Disregard a Stop Sign, and Failure of Non-Owner Operator to Maintain Insurance.
The charges stem from a pursuit that began around 9 p.m. December 7 when Pulaski County Sheriffâs Deputy Nick Barber observed a black 2014 Jeep Patriot traveling on Barnesburg Road in excess of 100 mph.
