At the end of the last series, we began to see DI Parker making progress as he decided to embrace island life and relax, despite what the locals (metaphorically) threw at him. His challenge, his arc, over this series is to be more open to experiences, to engage with and be open to what living in the Caribbean means, he said.
Little went on to express his sympathy for the character and to explain why he is the way he is, while also sharing his hope that we ll see him slowly grow into himself over the coming series, along with the help of his colleagues.
