Not all friendships are created equal. Some friends get along; others struggle to avoid conflict. Conventional wisdom holds that the tenor of a friendship with someone who is nice differs from that with someone who is mean, such that the former discourages negative interactions whereas the latter aggravates them. Although it is logical to assume that children who are mean have friendships characterized by growing strife and that children who are nice report little of the same, these assumptions have not yet been tested in the real-world friendships of children.

The ultimate impact of those key elements, if they ever came to pass, would reduce the influence of small, conservative states, which are dominated by Republicans, and increase the political clout of bigger states including Florida.

Local Girl Scout Natalie Nicosia is hosting an eco event for the public next month as part of her Gold Award.
If you are interested in conservation, local Girl Scout Natalie Nicosia may be working on the perfect event for you.
As part of her Gold Award, 17-year-old Nicosia is inviting the public to attend Eco Event 2021, where she plans to showcase the importance of keeping estuaries healthy and creating a better ocean environment. The event will take place on Saturday, March 6 in Apollo Beach.
“I’ve always been really passionate about conservation work and anything revolving around the ocean,” said Nicosia, who currently attends Lennard High School and has committed to studying marine biology at Florida Atlantic University.
