A former Wyoming State Representative and long-time Republican party activist is speaking out in favor of her former boss, Rep. Liz. Cheney.
Amy Edmonds served three terms in the Wyoming House of Representatives, and also served on Rep. Cheney s staff a few years ago. She has long been active in Republican party politics in Wyoming.
She called into Glenn Woods on the Wakeup Wyoming program on Townsquare Media of Wyoming stations on Monday morning to speak up for Rep. Cheney, who has come under heavy fire recently for voting in favor of impeaching then-President Donald Trump.
Cheney was the subject of a large rally in Cheyenne last week, attended by several hundred people. In that rally, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz told the crowd Cheney was a carpetbagger from Virginia who is out of touch with Wyoming and a Washington insider, among other things. Our duty to the Constitution
Iâm a Democrat, but I like to think of myself as someone who is open-minded. I mean I understand everyone has different interests and agendas, but I canât understand the Republican Party or at least their representatives in Congress. Do they not understand that their duty lies not to their party or own aspirations, but to the Constitution of the United States?

Northwest Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz has put an end to speculation that he might run in 2022 for the seat currently held by Sen. Marco Rubio.
But he’s not ruling out a possible run for a state office with a seat on the Florida Cabinet.
“I have no interest in running against Marco Rubio for the US Senate,” Gaetz tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “In 2022, the only statewide position I would consider running for in the current political climate is Commissioner of Agriculture. But things can change! (Not the Senate thing though).”
Gaetz is now in his third term in the U.S. House. He is known for his staunch support of Donald Trump, appearing at numerous Trump rallies and opening for the president at the Republican National Convention. He’s also known for his frequent appearances on Fox News.
