Mar 09, 2021 By Gary Blankenship Senior Editor Top Stories A proposed procedural rule implementing the 2018 Marsy’s Law victims’ rights constitutional amendment should be adopted, according to comments submitted to the Supreme Court. The court received only two comments as well as a response from the Rules of Judicial Administration Committee on the proposed new Rule of Judicial Administration 2.423. One comment from the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers supported the proposed rule and the second, from a coalition of news organizations, urged support with some changes, subject to court rulings interpreting the amendment. In response, the RJAC urged the court to adopt the proposed rule, noting neither comment expressly opposed it.
