CROW board of directors welcomes new members By CROW - | May 5, 2021 PHOTO PROVIDED Karen Buck The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife held its 2020 Membership Meeting on March 31 via Zoom, with those in attendance including members, staff, and the board of the directors. New board members elected were Karen Buck, Ron Clayton and Dave Nichols. Originally from the Chicago area, Buck has resided at least part time on Captiva since 1997 with her family. A retired medical assistant, lab tech and medical office manager, she grew up in rural Indiana surrounded by wildlife. She has been involved with many fundraisers and is currently serving on the entertainment committee at The Sanctuary Golf Club.

Other victories for DeSantis include passage of a bill imposing new restrictions on voting by mail-in ballot. Results of Governor DeSantis’ campaign to crack down on Big Tech were a mixed bag: A proposal imposing sweeping new restrictions on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter did pass, but lawmakers ended the session without passing a consumer data privacy bill that aimed to allow Floridians to regain ownership of their personal information collected by companies.

As long as there is adequate cover available, bobcats can live among people.
