Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is warning of a potential increase in moving scams as home sales skyrocket.
Moody says one common scam involves packing up and transporting household goods and then refusing to release them until the consumer pays an additional fee.
Another centers around giving a low-ball offer to secure a moving job but then increasing the rate upon arrival and threatening to leave unless the movers are paid up front.
She adds if you think you re the victim of a scam to call the Florida Attorney General s Office.
