The GWOAT started training for MMA when the boxing world was put on hold during the early days of the pandemic. No one was sure how serious Shields was about her MMA future until she announced her partnership with the PFL. Now the most decorated woman in boxing history has an official date for the start of her MMA career.

Marshall’s Common Citizen Forms Historic Cannabis Partnership
Marshall’s Common Citizen Marijuana growing facility took another leap forward today with the announcement of a partnership with a legendary California-based grower. The deal between Detroit-based Common Citizen and San Francisco-based Sherbinski will make the Marshall Michigan facility the first outside of California to grow the world-renowned cannabis brands and sell the flower at Common Citizen’s retail locations.

Wisconsin AD Alvarez Stepping Down June 30th
Longtime University of Wisconsin-Madison athletic director Barry Alvarez (pictured) announced his retirement on Tuesday, effective June 30th, after more than 30 years with the Badgers program.
Alvarez came to Wisconsin as the school s head football coach in 1990 after a successful stint as an assistant coach at Notre Dame under Lou Holtz. After a 1-10 start in 1990, he led them to a Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl victory after the 1993 season.
