Odisha govt streamlines process to declare more than 4,000 hamlets as revenue villages ANI | Updated: Jul 29, 2021 08:03 IST Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], July 29 (ANI): Odisha Government has paved the way for the creation of more than 4,000 hamlets as revenue villages, thereby ensuring these revenue units get the benefits of the government s developmental schemes and programmes. As per the Revenue Department, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved a proposal of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management (DoR&DM) for streamlining the process of creation of new revenue villages out of hamlets. Principal Secretary, DoR&DM Bishnupada Sethi on Wednesday has asked the district collectors to follow the guidelines approved by the Chief Minister in this regard.

ANI | Updated: Jul 29, 2021 09:47 IST Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], July 29 (ANI): The Odisha government on Wednesday allowed the reopening of medical colleges and other institutions in view of declining COVID-19 cases. Institutions of teaching including nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, public health and other paramedical/allied medical science courses have been permitted to reopen with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols. As per the guidelines, all theory classes will continue in online mode while practical and clinical classes will be held with 50 per cent capacity. Fully vaccinated and unvaccinated or partially vaccinated students should be segregated, the guidelines said, adding that the institutions should start vaccination drives for students and college staff in coordination with the local health authorities.
