Mount Merapi 24 Times Released Incandescent Lava Avalanches on Saturday Morning Mount Merapi, which is located on the border of Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), was recorded to emit 24 times of incandescent Sabtu, 27 Februari 2021 19:42 Based on observations, the maximum glide distance from Mount Merapi s incandescent lava avalanche is 1 kilometer. There were 24 incandescent lava avalanches with a maximum sliding distance of 1,000 meters to the southwest, said Mount Merapi Observation Post Officer Rachmad Widyo Laksono in his statement, Saturday, (27/2).  Meanwhile, based on seismic data, there were 41 avalanches with an amplitude of 3-29 mm and with duration of 11-131 seconds, and three gusts with an amplitude of 5-12 mm and with duration of 12-18 seconds.

Kamis, 25 Februari 2021 21:59 TRIBUNBATAM.id, YOGYAKARTA - Mount Merapi is again releasing hot clouds avalanche with an estimated sliding distance of 1,500 meters to the southwest.  There was an avalanche of hot clouds on Mount Merapi, February 25, 2021 at 16.52 WIB, said the Head of the Geological Disaster Research and Technology Development Center (BPPTKG), Hanik Humaida in a written statement, Thursday (25/2/2021).  Based on the BPPTKG, hot cloud avalanches were recorded on a seismogram with an amplitude of 37 mm, meanwhile, the duration was recorded at 115 seconds.
