The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel’s lauded cocktail bar, the Spare Room, is scheduled to return May 13 in a new space and with a new alfresco setup. The Spare Room . Somewhere Else will bring the bar’s games, activity books and cocktails outdoors near the pool, and will add a menu of Italian-leaning small plates in addition to a few new drinks. The Spare Room’s usual location (complete with bowling alley) remains closed, save for private events. The Spare Room . Somewhere Else is open evenings, Wednesday to Sunday.

Prime Pizza
The Prime Pizza team is opening their newest location today. Co-owners James Starr and Zak Fishman are pushing their popular LA pizzeria to 12219 Santa Monica Boulevard (formerly a Pizza Hut), with hours running from Tuesday to Saturday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for pickup only. Lunch will start next Tuesday, with an expansion to daily hours in the near future, along with delivery (once they can fully staff up).

CULVER CITY, CA Flower Burger, a vegan-friendly joint with eye-poppingly colorful burgers, opened a ghost kitchen last week in Culver City the first U.S. location for the European-based business.
For now, it s delivery only from the Culver City site, with a brick-and-mortar restaurant possibly planned to open this summer in West Hollywood, according to LA-based owner and entrepreneur Elena Platt, who is working with consulting partner Barbara Lazaroff, co-founder of the Wolfgang Puck Food Co.
