Montgomery County records 320 new coronavirus cases, 7 deaths over three days

NORRISTOWN — More than 300 Montgomery County residents tested positive for the coronavirus and seven more people died of the virus during the latest three-day period, according to county health officials. The 320 daily new positive COVID-19 cases, reported in the county during the three-day period Saturday through Monday, brought the county’s total number of positive cases to 57,532 since March 7, 2020, when the first two cases of the virus were identified in the county, according to the county’s COVID-19 online dashboard. Four of the daily new cases were individuals who resided in long-term care facilities. Officials also reported seven additional COVID-19 deaths during the three-day period, bringing the county’s death toll to 1,301 since the pandemic began a year ago.

Montgomery County reports 212 new coronavirus cases, five more deaths

NORRISTOWN — As the 60th week of the coronavirus pandemic in Montgomery County came to a close on Friday, health officials reported more than 200 additional county residents tested positive for the virus and five more people died from the virus. The 212 daily new positive COVID-19 cases reported in the county on Friday brought the county’s total number of positive cases to 57,214 since March 7, 2020, when the first two cases of the virus were identified in the county. Twenty-one of the daily new cases were individuals who resided in long-term care facilities. As of Friday, the 14-day average of daily positive COVID-19 cases stood at 181.1 which was a decrease from the 14-day average of 208.6 cases reported on April 23. Montgomery County opens walk-in clinic for COVID vaccines

Norristown Area High School (moving Monday, May 3) Parkside Shopping Center, Willow Grove (between Planet Fitness and Rally House) Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell (moving Monday, May 3) Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale Bethlehem Baptist Church, Spring House (Saturdays only) Starting Monday, the Norristown High School clinic will move to the former JCPenney store at the King of Prussia Mall, and the community college clinic will move to the former Sears at the Montgomeryville Mall in Montgomery Township. Except for St. John s, all other clinics require appointments, which can be made thorugh th e Arkoosh said the move was in part to make it more convenient for county residents to be vaccinated.
