The author of the book is the experienced Nasser Khan. The book will also be donated to the National Archives, the University of the West Indies and the University of Trinidad and Tobago.

House approves Seepersad s nomination to PSC

Minister of National Security Stuart Young. - NATIONAL Security Minister Stuart Young on Wednesday praised former Police Service Commission (PSC) chairman Bliss Seepersad as an exemplar as the House of Representatives approved a motion to nominate her again to be a member of the PSC. Similar to a motion passed in the House on April 9 to approve the nomination of McDonald Jacob as a deputy police commissioner, Seepersad s nomination was approved in the absence of Opposition MPs. Young said, We are here to do the people s business. He said Seepersad is one of those people in private life, who rose to the call to serve Trinidad and Tobago.

Pop up beer garden and barbecue coming to south Liverpool to celebrate end of lockdown The event is taking place on the first weekend after the pubs reopen Updated A pop up beer garden is coming to south Liverpool to celebrate the end of lockdown. Sefton Park Cricket Club is hosting the event and it’s proving popular with many of the tickets having already sold. The venue is holding the ‘All Out Garden Party’ on the weekend of April 17 and 18, which is the first weekend after pubs and restaurants are expected to reopen on April 12. Last week seven Liverpool city centre pubs with outdoor areas confirmed they are reopening from April 12.
