Spanning over 185,000 square foot (about 17,187 sqm), the new factory is more than five times as large as Arcimoto’s current production facilities. The company considers the new Eugene facility to become “instrumental in achieving mass production” of Arcimoto’s electric vehicles. We first heard of them in 2017. The Electrification Coalition Business Council (ECBC) includes traditional automakers General Motors Co., Ford Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp., all of which have EVs coming to market. The membership also encompasses new electric automakers Rivian and Arrival Ltd., but not Tesla Inc. Other members include electric bus maker Proterra, charging providers Amply Power Inc. and EVgo, engineering firms AECOM and Parsons Corp., ride-hailing giant Uber Technologies Inc., and delivery leader FedEx Corp.
