LOCK HAVEN Ann Zaprazny, a 2015 Lock Haven University alumna, is a mental performance coach who works with athletes to transform their confidence to achieve their goals. She recently released a book titled, “Great Sports Minds Athlete Journal.”
“Great Sports Minds Athlete Journal” is a 90-day journal with three sections described as, a game plan to succeed in sports and life. The book helps clients learn to reduce performance obstacles and find joy in their sport again. Sections include: “The Winning Formula,” 90 daily reflection pages and 12 weekly challenges.
AGB Search Recruits SVP of University Operations for Fairleigh Dickinson University
May 7, 2021 – As the pandemic begins to subside in the U.S. and organizations collectively begin to get back on their feet, colleges and universities across the country are opening searches that, if all goes to plan, will allow high-profile leaders to take them into a new era of fundraising, digitalization, sports and, increasingly the case, globalization – not to mention a pandemic and post-pandemic era. One national recruiting outfit, AGB Search, has become a magnet for such assignments. Most recently, the Washington, D.C.-based recruiter placed Robert Pignatello as the first senior vice president for university operations at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. (FDU). Consultant Robert Holyer led the assignment. Dr. Pignatello will begin at FDU on June 1.
AUBREY SECHRIST
JERSEY SHORE The Jersey Shore Lions’ Club Citizen of the Month for May is Aubrey Blanche Sechrist, daughter of Tiffany and Mark Sechrist of Cogan Station.
Aubrey’s activities include the following: National Honor Society, Cross Country, one year; National English Honor Society, three years; soccer, track and field, Outdoor Club, Key Club, four years.
Aubrey has served as the captain of the varsity girls’ soccer team during her senior year of high school.
Outside of school, Aubrey is involved with volunteering as a travel referee for soccer games. She has helped to teach vacation Bible school, helped to paint the pawprints outside of the high school building, and helped with setting up and running fundraisers with the Key Club. She also works part-time at the Gamble Farm Inn.

“Focus on the opportunities for students,” said Dr. Charles Patterson, president of Mansfield University, commenting on the integration implementation plan approved by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Board of Governors.
“This is about students. The whole plan is really student-focused and it’s meant to provide a greater range of academic programs and faculty expertise for an integrated institution beyond what a single institution like Mansfield would be able to provide by itself,” he said.
Under the plan, Patterson’s school will become part of the Northeast integrated university, which will also include Bloomsburg and Lock Haven University. A similar integration is planned for Edinboro, California and Clarion universities in the western part of the state.

Lock Haven University fraternity Kappa Delta Rho recently held its first food drive. Members went around and delivered flyers to 200 houses and collected items to donate to the Haven Cupboard. “We would like to thank everyone that participated and helped us with such a good turnout,” a press release from the fraternity said.
