Marvin Joseph Bellecourt, 49, of rural Ogema, has had a felony charge of making threats of violence dismissed in Becker County District Court.
According to court records, on Jan. 24, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received reports of his sending threatening messages to a woman, threatening to kill her, rape her, slice her throat and burn down her house. The woman said he has assaulted in the past, including hitting her over the head with a vacuum cleaner. She said he acts like that when he is on meth. The two have been in an off-and-on relationship for about two years.

Levi Brandin Jerome, 33, of Mahnomen, who is accused of robbing a convenience store in Ogema at gunpoint, has had three felony charges dropped in Becker County District Court because he has been indicted in the same case in federal court.
Jerome was charged in Becker County District Court with felony first-degree aggravated robbery, felony second-degree assault, and felony possession of ammunition or a firearm after being convicted of a crime of violence.
According to court records, at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11, store surveillance video shows a man entering the M&W Convenience Store in Ogema wearing a tan baseball hat, sunglasses, a red bandana covering his face, a red shirt draped over one shoulder, a black jacket, khaki pants and black gloves, and pointing a high-powered assault-style rifle at the female clerk’s head-torso area.

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. A rural Wadena man faces felony arson and theft charges for allegedly setting the Dec. 29 fire that heavily damaged the Wold’s RV Sales building in Detroit Lakes, and then leaving with a $30,000 Wold’s fish house trailer.
