Updated: 4:26 PM CDT May 7, 2021 KOCO Staff A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 1-year-old child back in 2020 in Sayre.According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Taylor Lambert was arrested on Friday. Online court records show Lambert has been charged with one count of first-degree murder – child abuse. According to the OSBI, on Nov. 14, Sayre police requested OSBI agents’ assistance in an investigation into the suspicious death of 1-year-old Kashton Ashley, who died on that day. Autopsy results showed the child’s death was the result of a homicide. Lambert was the boyfriend of Kashton’s mother at the time of his death, according to the OSBI.A felony arrest warrant was issued Friday for Lambert on one count of first-degree murder – child abuse. Sayre police officers and Department of Wildlife Game Wardens took him into custody, OSBI officials said.Lambert was taken to the Beckham County Sheriff

The man wanted for allegedly stealing two vehicles in western Oklahoma has been captured.
Officials with the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed that 30-year-old Kasey Patrick Scott was captured in Kiowa County, Colorado, after a pursuit in the southeast part of the state.
Scott was reportedly still driving the vehicle he stole following another pursuit which ended in a crash early Monday morning after a Beckham County deputy spotted him driving a stolen vehicle from Clarendon, Texas.
Officials say Scott crashed that vehicle at Sweetwater, eluded multiple agencies on foot, before stealing the second vehicle a couple of miles east of the community.
