Is religious freedom as understood by the Founding Fathers now defeated along with our free speech, privacy rights and states rights?
In his May 24th letter to parishioners, Archbishop Chaput of Philadelphia, said that the administration needlessly made Obamacare into a religious liberty issue – the Catholic Church supports the principles of Obamacare.
The “HHS mandate can only be understood as a form of coercion, the day when Americans could take the Founders’ understanding of religious freedom as a given is over,” said the archbishop, “We need to wake up.”

April 28 (UPI) The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments Wednesday on whether a Pennsylvania student s First Amendment rights were violated when school officials punished her for making a profanity-filled social media post on a weekend.

In 2017, Brandi Levy posted a message on Snapchat that would lead her all the way to the Supreme Court. The Pennsylvania high school student and junior varsity cheerleader was disappointed that she did not make the varsity cheerleading squad at her public school. While hanging out at the Cocoa Hut, a local convenience store, Levy snapped a picture of herself shooting the bird with the caption: “Fuck school fuck softball fuck cheer fuck everything.” The photo was initially seen by, at most, her 250 friends on Snapchat.
