SAN ANTONIO – A man found dead inside a bullet-riddled car on a Northeast Side street has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Authorities said Bernard Allen Terry, 27, suffered a gunshot wound to the head around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Judson Road near George Cooper Street. His manner of death is homicide, the office said.

Coronavirus cases continue to mount in San Antonio and Bexar County, as local officials reported 1,090 newly diagnosed infections and six more deaths Friday.
It was the fifth day this week that more than 1,000 new cases of the virus were reported in Bexar County a sign that the December spike doesn’t appear to be slowing down.
“Please remember we are not out of the woods,” Mayor Ron Nirenberg said Friday. “If we want to have a healthy and safe holiday next year, we’ve got to ensure we protect each other this year.”

A woman who was sitting on a South Side highway when she was hit and killed by a truck was identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Sara Alicia Olivares, 29, was fatally struck at 3:30 a.m. Monday in the 3400 block of Interstate 35, investigators said.
The truck that hit her did not stop, witnesses told San Antonio police.
Olivares had been “acting strange” and was sitting between the second and third lanes of the interstate for several minutes before she was hit, witnesses said. She died at the scene, investigators said.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Sara Alicia Olivares, 29.
When officers arrived at the scene Monday at 3:30 a.m., they found the victim’s body on the shoulder of the highway, directly under a pedestrian bridge, just north of the Theo/Malone exit.
A preliminary report said witnesses told police the woman had been acting strangely and was sitting in the middle of the traffic lanes prior to being hit.
Although some drivers stopped to help, witnesses told police the woman was hit by a truck that did not stop.
