The Bexar County Sheriff s Office said approximately 150 immigrants on Thursday fled from an 18-wheeler parked at a gas station in South Bexar County and used in a suspected human smuggling operation.
Sheriff Javier Salazar said during a news conference that deputies detained 50 people from the truck but the rest ran off into a wooded area near a QuickTrip gas station.
