Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday announced the list of star campaigners for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, which also features actor-turned-politician Mithun Chakraborty.
TMC candidates list recently, said, I am going to Nandigram on 9th March. On 10th March, I will file the nomination at Haldia.
The TMC supremo, after addressing a party workers meeting, paid her reverence at the local Mazar, popular among members of the minority community here, and then offered prayers at the “Maa Chandi” temple nearby.
As she entered the temple, women, who lined up next to the shrine, blew conch shells to greet her. At the mausoleum, too, she was extended a warm welcome. Next, Banerjee visited a roadside stall, where she prepared tea for the customers, much to the astonishment of the shop owner. Mamata Banerjee recited the ‘Chandipath’ as she launched her poll campaign for the Nandigram seat asserting and dared the BJP to not play to play the ‘Hindu card’ against her.

Delhi s Saket Court has pronounced Indian Mujahideen militant Ariz Khan guilty in the 13-year-old Batla House encounter case. The court will hear the arguments on the point of sentencing on March 15 at 12 noon.
The encounter took place on 19 September 2008, and just five days before that, on 13 September, there were five major bomb blasts in Delhi, killing 39 people and injuring more than 150 people. The Indian Mujahideen took responsibility for it 5 minutes after the first bombing. But in spite of this, there was politics in our country and many leaders had also shed tears for the terrorists.
