BENGALURU: A passenger on board a commercial flight from Bengaluru to Jaipur gave birth to a baby girl midair on Wednesday morning. She was attended by a doctor who happened to be her co-passenger on the flight. The infant and the mother are healthy and were taken to a hospital in the Rajasthan capital. According to sources, the childbirth took place on IndiGo airlines flight 6E 469 (Bengaluru to Jaipur) which took off from Bengaluru s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) at 5.32am on Wednesday. Dr Nazir who attended to the situation was lauded and felicitated by the IndiGo airline authorities

It was subsequently found that the officer was carrying Rs 74 lakh unaccounted cash and expensive gadgets and jewellery and his wife had hidden Rs 10 lakh cash and two iPhones in an airport bathroom to evade the authorities.
