The property includes parking for four.

The Lewiston Planning Board on Monday night approved an 8,640-square-foot dispatch building and a 770-square-foot truck maintenance garage expansion at 31 Alfred Plourde Parkway, a combined $1.7 million project.
The work will remove 54 parking spaces, but with 332 spaces left, the company indicated in its application that it has plenty of room left.

A total of 532 people work at the center, 318 during the week and 214 on weekends, spread among three shifts.
The garage expansion, which is adding a truck bay, is on the southwest side of the property and new dispatch building on the northeast, according to consultants Kimley-Horn and Associates.

Strong home buying demand continued across Maine in March, with Realtors reporting 1,313 single-family existing home sales a sales jump of 16.81% over March 2020.
According to statistics released this week by Maine Listings, the statewide median sales price reached $268,500, an increase of 17.79% compared to March 2020.
The median sales price indicates that half of the homes were sold for more and half sold for less.
“Maine residential real estate sales volume and median sold values showed continued strength during March 2021,” Aaron Bolster, broker and owner of Allied Realty in Skowhegan and president of the Maine Association of Realtors, said in a news release. “The pace in the residential real estate market continues to be rapid.”

For more than 70 years, a billboard sat atop the one-story annex of the Argonne building in downtown Des Moines. This week, artwork that includes the flywheel from the original elevator at the Argonne building, located at 1723 Grand Ave. in downtown Des Moines, is taking the place of that billboard. The artwork also includes galvanized pipe and copper wire, all of which is being installed on the heavy metal framework that supported the bil
