Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the record hike in petrol and diesel prices, claiming that his government was busy collecting taxes while the public is plaqued with inflation.
Petrol, Diesel Rates Today: In the national capital, the price of petrol was increased by 25 paise from Rs 85.45 per litre to Rs 85.70, while diesel touched a record high in Mumbai
As per the notification from Indian Oil Corporation, the two auto fuels now have reached a new all-time high of Rs. 85.20 per litre and Rs. 75.38 per litre in the national capital.
Fuel prices in the country are likely to climb if global crude oil prices strengthen further. However, the real reason behind higher fuel prices in India is the high rate of taxes. Both petrol and diesel prices in India are at an all-time high.
