Braskem Renato T. Goebel holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Escola de Engenharia Maua (EEM), postgraduate in Administration at the Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Brazil and an MBA from Marshall School of Business – USC in USA together with Jiaotong University in Shanghai, China. He worked in several multinational companies such as Embraer, Klabin and Votorantim group. Started his carrier in Brazil in the procurement and supply chain area, moving to China on 2007 to open Votorantim International’s office in Shanghai. He joined Braskem in 2016 as Asia Commercial Manager for the Chemical business unit, based in Singapore. Under his leadership, Asia market relevance and importance grew inside Braskem and currently is looking for opportunities through strategic projects to strengthen the company’s presence in Asia. He is Braskem´s head of Asia Market for Chemicals since May 2018 and supporting the Feedstock and Chemicals Recycle teams since 2020.

Valero will release a report later this year, it said in an emailed statement Wednesday. The decision follows discussions with Mercy Investment Services Inc., which had filed a proposed shareholder resolution demanding to know how Valero’s lobbying aligns with global efforts to fight climate change. That resolution has now been withdrawn, Valero said.

Phillips 66 names new President and Chief Operating Officer

Advertisement Phillips 66 has named Mark Lashier, President and CEO of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, as its President and Chief Operating Officer effective 1 April. “Mark is the right leader at the right time to join Phillips 66,” said Greg Garland, Chairman and CEO of Phillips 66. “He assumes his new role at a time when we are operationally and financially strong yet navigating a dynamic and challenging external environment.” Lashier, who has over 30 years of energy industry experience, has served as CPChem’s CEO since 2017. He joined the global petrochemical joint venture, in which Phillips 66 owns a 50% interest, in 2000. At CPChem he has served as Executive Vice President of Olefins and Polyolefins; Senior Vice President of Specialties, Aromatics and Styrenics; Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development; and Regional Manager of Asia. He began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company as a research engineer.
