NEW DELHI: The percentage of COVID-19 patients requiring critical care and oxygen support has gone down as compared to two days ago, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Tuesday after a review meeting with some premier hospitals in the country.
He said that as compared to the figures two days ago, the percentage of COVID-19 patients in ICU is down from 1.93 per cent to 1.75 per cent, those on ventilators down from 0.43 per cent to 0.40 per cent, and those requiring oxygen down from 4.29 per cent to 4.03 per cent.
Gangaram Hospital received 5,000 cubic metres of oxygen supply from a private vendor before 3 am.

NEW DELHI: Some major government and private hospitals in Delhi received fresh stock of medical oxygen in the early hours of Wednesday, averting a crisis just in time, according to officials.
Gangaram Hospital received 4,500 cubic metres of oxygen supply from a private vendor before 3 am.
Another supplier sent 6,000 cubic metres of it later.

Centre on Tuesday informed that 2,105 more beds have been added to the Central govt Hospitals for COVID patients in Delhi.
Out of the 2,105 beds, 1,875 are oxygen beds and 230 are ICU beds.
New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday (April 20, 2021) informed that 2,105 more beds have been added to the Central Government Hospitals for COVID-19 patients in Delhi.
Out of the 2,105 beds, 1,875 are oxygen beds and 230 are ICU beds that have added to the hospitals including Safdarjung Hospital, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College, AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Jhajjhar, ESIC Okhla, ESIC Jhilmil, and All India Institute of Ayurveda in Sarita Vihar.
