Angela Dunkin Nance, who was born and raised in Columbia but lived most of her adult life in Texas, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, after a brief illness. She was born March 3, 1942, in Columbia and graduated from Hickman High School in 1960. She then earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Missouri. She was very active with the Christian Student Center and continued to attend annual retreats for several years afterward. Not long after finishing college in 1965, she moved to Dallas, Texas, and worked as a legal secretary at local law firms. She married Douglas M. Nance of Dallas, and they had two children, Carrie A. Nance and Andrew D. Nance. The couple divorced many years later.
