Heading into 2020, the thought of opening up a brick-and-mortar wasnât on the mind of Leanna and Jordan Johnson, Montrose-based artists and entrepreneurs. Having been in the retail industry for four years, setting up shop at festivals, fairs and markets in Colorado beyond Montrose, the two were primed for a year like any other, where they would be stationed with their inventory â jewelry, clothing, hand crafted art, personal care products, among other items â at the usual shows.
The pandemic, as experienced in other industries, halted those plans.
â(There was) one email after another saying, âwith a heavy heart, this showâs canceled, this showâs canceled,ââ Jordan said.
