The directors of Covenant Physician Partners have recruited a veteran of Women’s Health USA and Surgical Care Affiliates to be the physician services firm’s new president and CEO.
Goran Dragolovic started work at 13-year-old Covenant on Monday, taking over the helm from Lew Little, who had led the company for a little more than four years and steered it through a diversification beyond surgery centers. Little is staying around to advise the Covenant team and is retaining a stake in the company, which has a presence in 19 states and has more than 1,700 doctors under its umbrella.
Sverica Capital Management, owner of Women’s Health USA, plans a nationwide search for a new CEO.
“My fellow leaders and I view this transition as an opportunity to realign the chief executive talent to ensure the continued success of Women’s Health USA,” said Dave Finley, managing partner of Sverica.
Women’s Health USA provides practice management services in the women’s health sector and last month announced a partnership with Desert Perinatal Associates, a high-risk obstetrics practice in Nevada. The company works with 600 women’s health providers in seven states.
Sverica spun out Women’s Health USA’s fertility-clinic business in 2019 and invested $31.5 million in the new company, In Vitro Sciences.
