Mercedes Martinez def. Dakota Kai via disqualification; Raquel Gonzalez assaulted Martinez
Mercedes Martinez looks to send a message to the NXT Women’s Champion by taking down Dakota Kai. Watch WWE action on Peacock, WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more. With NXT Women s Champion Raquel Gonzalez looking on, Mercedes Martinez and Dakota Kai battled in a seesaw affair. Martinez and Gonzalez eventually found themselves face to face on the outside, with Martinez dropping the champion with a straight right. Gonzalez retaliated back in the ring with a massive boot, forcing the disqualification. But Martinez was anything but a winner, as Big Mami Cool left her lying after a savage assault.
Cook’s WWE Raw Review 4.26.21
Hey kids! I know you’re wondering why I’m here doing the live Raw coverage tonight, and apparently it’s because 411mania wrote into my contract that I have to do live Raw coverage a couple of times a year. We got a six-man match, a six-woman match, a re-match of last week’s epic tag team encounter, and three hours of good times coming up!
Last Monday, Drew McIntyre recapped the previous Monday before addressing MACE & T-BAR. He accused MVP of being their mastermind, but MVP denied any association with them prior to the two men attacking Drew yet again. This led to a match later in the evening, which was originally a handicap match before Braun Strowman showed up and made it a tag team match. MACE & T-BAR would have their masks removed before being shooed out of the ring.
NXT s second episode since moving to Tuesdays takes place tonight.
Kyle O Reilly will kick off the show by making his first appearance since defeating Adam Cole in their unsanctioned match at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. On last week s NXT, footage was shown of O Reilly and Cole both being taken out by ambulance following their unsanctioned match. Cole yelled at O Reilly and threatened him as they were being wheeled into the hospital.
The NXT women s division will get a new addition as Sarray makes her debut. She ll be facing Zoey Stark.
Tonight s show will also feature Dexter Lumis vs. LA Knight, an open challenge issued by new NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida, Breezango vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans, and a special sit-down interview with Io Shirai. This will be Shirai s first appearance since losing the NXT Women s Championship to Raquel Gonzalez at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.
Nia Jax, one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, went on tirade on Sunday, claiming that she’s “the black sheep/outcast” of her family and not Tamina.
Jax tweeted, “I’m so sick of trying to be humble and hold my tongue. It really be your own family that is quick to stab you in the back. People may not know, but @TaminaSnuka is loved and respected by fans and most importantly by our family! I am the black sheep/outcast, the embarrassment.”
In another tweet, Jax said she previously considered Tamina the only family member she could count on, but that was no longer the case.

WWE has announced that Mojo Rawley has also been released from the company. Rawley hasn t wrestled since June 2020.
WWE announced on Thursday that 10 wrestlers have been released from the company.

We wish them the best in all of their future endeavors.
