Calculating the 500 Greatest Wrestlers in WWE History (Part two) By MattySpice on Jan 9, 2021, 6:00pm EST 27
I don t know what you did during your increased amount of free time in 2020, but I spent it doing what I love to do best: making an obscenely large and markedly unimportant spreadsheet in which I attempt in vain to mathematically calculate the greatest wrestler in the history of WWE! I wouldn t be surprised if someone has attempted this before, but my love of meaningless statistics compelled me to do it anyway. After spending countless hours, I just needed to share the fruits of many long, depressing hours. While it is not perfect, and at times disappointing, I do think in general that the rankings brought about from this project match common consensus pretty closely. WWE RAW Preview For Tonight: Final Show Of 2020
The final WWE RAW of 2020 will take place tonight from the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
WWE has not announced any matches for tonight’s show, but they are teasing that Alexa Bliss will have “sinister plans” for Randy Orton after he recently set fire to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WWE TLC.
The storyline between the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Asuka, should also continue this week after their win on Friday’s SmackDown in the Triple Threat Elimination Match. It’s believed that Flair will be asking Asuka for a singles title shot soon.
Tonight s Christmas edition of SmackDown features three title matches.
Universal Champion Roman Reigns defends against Kevin Owens in a steel cage match on tonight s show. Reigns retained against Owens in a tables, ladders, and chairs match this past Sunday s TLC pay-per-view, with Jey Uso interfering throughout the match to help Reigns win.
Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn defends against Big E in a lumberjack match. Zayn defeated Big E by countout in their previous match. Big E then pinned Zayn in an eight-man tag match on the TLC pre-show.
New Women s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Charlotte Flair will make their first title defense. They re facing SmackDown Women s Champion Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair and Bayley & Carmella in a triple threat elimination match. Charlotte made her return to WWE TV at TLC and teamed with Asuka to win the Women s Tag Team titles from Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax.
This Friday s Christmas Day edition of SmackDown was taped at the WWE ThunderDome on Tuesday night.
Like live WWE television episodes, the tapings included a virtual crowd on the screens of the ThunderDome. Three title matches were taped for Friday s show, which will air on Fox at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
Here are the results:
- Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated Kevin Owens in a steel cage match to retain his title
From outside of the ring, Jey Uso handcuffed Owens to the cage near the finish. Reigns then exited the cage to retain the Universal Championship.
- Women s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Charlotte Flair defeated Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair and Bayley & Carmella in a triple threat elimination match to retain their titles
– Above is a behind-the-scenes look at the new championship photo shoot from the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Asuka. The shoot was done backstage at RAW, which saw Flair and Asuka defeat Lacey Evans and Peyton Royce in a non-title match.
As noted, Flair and Asuka will now defend their titles against opponents to be announced on Friday’s Christmas Day edition of SmackDown on FOX.
– WWE taped the following matches tonight before RAW to air on this week’s WWE Main Event episode: Reckoning vs. Nikki Cross
