Mike Johnson of PWInsider has a variety of backstage details on this week’s edition of RAW, which featured Lana being removed from the match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships at WWE TLC after being attacked by Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
According to Johnson, Lana could be off WWE television for three to four weeks after the attack. He also notes that while speculation centered around a potential return of Charlotte Flair, there’s been no confirmation of that storyline development.
The report also claims that in what has been a recurring theme, the placement of segments on the show were changed throughout the day, with one PWInsider source stating that the dialogue was “very much a Vince McMahon vision” with the writers in WWE “giving him what he wants.” WWE management was also reportedly unhappy with numerous segments running long on the show.
Lana will not be competing for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at TLC after all after she was attacked by Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax on Raw. On tonight’s show, Lana defeated Jax in a singles match, only to be viciously assaulted by Jax and Shayna Baszler after the match. Jax hit Lana with multiple leg drops on Lana, while Baszler stomped on her arm.
Later on, it was announced that Lana had to be taken to a local medical facility and is not cleared to compete alongside Asuka against Jax and Baszler for the tag team titles.

AJ Styles gained the upper hand against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre on Raw, days before their championship clash Sunday at the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view event.
ADVERTISEMENT Styles helped kick off Raw on Monday by joining Mr. Money in the Bank, The Miz and his partner John Morrison for a reading of The Nightmare Before TLC.
The Miz recited the fake children s book, which described how Styles was going to become the new WWE Champion at TLC. Morrison dressed up as Mel Gibson s character from the 1995 film Braveheart in an effort to mock McIntyre s Scottish heritage.

A kayfabe injury suffered following an attack from rivals Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax on last night s raw has rendered the former Ravishing Russian unable to compete at the pay-per-view, which goes down this Sunday night (20 December). Lana was supposed to team with Asuka to face Baszler and Jax for the Women s Tag Team Championships.
WWE will now name a replacement competitor, having announced that Lana was examined at a hospital following Jax and Baszler s in-ring ambush. The company described devastating injuries to her elbow and leg.
