WWE Hall of Famers Triple H and Shawn Michaels took to Twitter to congratulate new WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions The Way.
As noted, this week’s NXT main event saw Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell capture the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles by defeating Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart in a brutal Street Fight. Triple H posted his trademark backstage photo with The Way after the show, and gave props to both teams.
“Broken tables, snapped ladders, fire extinguishers, one HELL OF A STREET FIGHT and NEW #WWENXT Women’s Tag Team Champions!!! @indi hartwell @CandiceLeRae #Congrats #ThePoint #WeAreNXT @WWENXT,” he wrote.

WWE NXT Viewership Up From Last Week, Big Drop In Key Demo

Tuesday’s live edition of WWE NXT on the USA Network drew 761,000 viewers on the USA Network, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.
It should be noted that this was the fourth NXT episode to air on Tuesday nights, with no head-to-head competition from AEW Dynamite. The show featured a Street Fight for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles, which saw The Way’s Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell capture the straps from Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart. Finn Balor also returned on the show, making his first appearance since losing the NXT Title to Karrion Kross at “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” in April.
