10-time All-Ireland winning Cork manager Eamonn Ryan has passed away at the age of 79.

Ryan led the Rebels to their first All-Ireland title in 2005. Subsequently, they then went on to win nine of the next 10 titles.
The Glenville/Watergrasshill man was at the helm for all of those successes. He also guided the county to nine National League titles in that time.

Cora Staunton says the vote to combine the Women s Gaelic Players Association (WGPA) and their male equivalent, the GPA, is a major step towards equality in ladies football.
Separate EGMs were held on Monday night to ascertain the interest of merging both bodies into a single 4,000-member representative body for inter-county players.
With an overwhelming majority in agreement of the merger - 96% of WGPA delegates and and 100% of GPA delegates voting in favour - a new Transitional National Executive Committee was established, which will convene in January.

Inter-county players from both the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) and Women s Gaelic Players Association (WGPA) have voted to merge into a single 4,000-member representative body.
The votes took place at separate EGMs on Monday night, with 96% of WGPA delegates voting in favour and 100% of GPA delegates doing so.
The EGMs were followed by a meeting of the combined association where a new Transitional National Executive Committee was established which will convene in January to elect Executive Officers and co-chairs as well as deciding on strategy prior to a first Annual General Meeting set to be held in the second quarter of 2021.

CORK LADIES FOOTBALL captain Doireann O’Sullivan has hailed last night’s monumental vote to merge the Women’s Gaelic Players Association [WGPA] and its male equivalent in the GPA.
“I think it’s a huge step forward for us. I can only see positives coming from it,” the All-Star forward told the media this morning ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland final against Dublin.
