Stars around the Women s National Basketball Association have rallied behind a pair of high school athletes who have been suspended for wearing t-shirts supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
While warming up for a recent game, American Heritage High School players
Jordana Codio and
Khadee Hession wore t-shirts with the phrase Black Lives Matter written on the front. The pair was provoked to do so because one of their classmates allegedly posted a racial slur during a virtual class without punishment.
After news of the suspension made its way around social media, a number of WNBA stars voiced their support for the two players.
