Carpinteria Children's Project Given $90,000 Grant From Women's Fund of Santa Barbara | Good for Santa Barbara

Housing and Development Newsletter CCP s tuition-based preschool lost significant revenue to COVID-19 mandates. After a forced three-month closure, the preschool was subject to mandatory enrollment caps when the center reopened in June 2020. Today, with the rise in vaccinations and significantly reduced numbers of infected people, CCP is getting back to normal operations with some continued health and safety protections in place. The Women s Fund grant will allow CCP to recuperate some of the losses due to COVID restrictions, and to support incoming families in the fall. We value the Women s Fund as supporters of our mission, and we especially appreciate that the hundreds of members who make up the Women s Fund prioritize organizations in Carpinteria along with organizations serving Santa Barbara and Goleta, said Teresa Alvarez, interim executive director and associate director of CCP.
