Earlier in her career, Grasso worked in clinical and program management positions with local community partners, such as the Salvation Army Hospitality House, Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA), Phoenix of Santa Barbara, and Family Service Agency.
“I have long enjoyed working in partnership with Sara throughout the years and was thrilled to have the opportunity for her to become a direct member of our team. She is perfect for the job and will serve our clients well,” said Kristine Schwarz, New Beginnings executive director.

Children and Family Resource Services (CFRS), a non-profit organization under the Santa Barbara County Education Office (SBCEO), recently received a $100,000 grant from the Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara.

Casa Pacifica’s SAFTY Program is a mobile crisis response team serving Santa Barbara County children and youth in crisis often suicidal or violent that provides families quick, accessible specialized crisis intervention, in-home support, and links to county mental health services.

CCP s tuition-based preschool lost significant revenue to COVID-19 mandates. After a forced three-month closure, the preschool was subject to mandatory enrollment caps when the center reopened in June 2020.
Today, with the rise in vaccinations and significantly reduced numbers of infected people, CCP is getting back to normal operations with some continued health and safety protections in place. The Women s Fund grant will allow CCP to recuperate some of the losses due to COVID restrictions, and to support incoming families in the fall. We value the Women s Fund as supporters of our mission, and we especially appreciate that the hundreds of members who make up the Women s Fund prioritize organizations in Carpinteria along with organizations serving Santa Barbara and Goleta, said Teresa Alvarez, interim executive director and associate director of CCP.
