PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Deputies in Pender County are asking for the publicâs help to locate a convicted murderer who is now facing felony child porn charges.
According to a news release from the Pender County Sheriffâs Office, Bobby Lee Autry, 41, has been charged with 16 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The news release states that sheriffâs office investigators were alerted that Autry was allegedly in possession of child phonography by agents with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the SBIâs Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.
A 28-year-old has been arrested in connection with a Maple Hill triple homicide that left a man and a pregnant woman fatally shot.
The Pender County Sheriff s Office said in a Thursday morning news release Michael Legage Miller Jr. was taken into custody early Thursday morning with the assistance of the Jacksonville Police Department.
Miller is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of murder of an unborn child in the Nov. 8 deaths, according to the release.
Pender County Sheriff Alan Cutler in a Thursday morning press conference said the investigation is still ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time.

PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - A man wanted in connection with the murders of a pregnant woman and her boyfriend in the Maple Hill area last year has been taken into custody.
According to the Pender County Sheriffâs Office, Michael Legage Miller, Jr., 28, was arrested with assistance from the Jacksonville Police Department early Thursday morning.
A PCSO Facebook post states that Miller has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of murder of an unborn child.
As the latest numbers show, only 40 rape kits remain untested in the Wilmington area
Attorney General Josh Stein s Office continues to request additional funds to process any backlog of rape kits in the state
N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein s initiative to decrease the number of untested rape kits in the state has also helped solve more rape cold cases including in the Wilmington area.
According to Laura Brewer, N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein s communications director, there are currently 16,186 rape kits that have been inventoried since the last inventory count in 2019. Of those, 2,925 kits completed testing, and an additional 5,342 are in process.
