2021 launches another historic first with Etihad flight landing in Israel

The UAE’s national carrier, Etihad Airways has made history today, completing the first scheduled flight from Abu Dhabi to Israel.
This momentous first would have been inconceivable even a year ago, but following a thawing of international relations culminating in the Abraham Accords, Israel and the UAE have partnered on several strategic opportunities in the region.
Etihad Airways flight EY598 took off from Abu Dhabi Airport (AUH) at 10.05am local time, after a smooth flight the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner touched down at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel at 1.30pm (UAE time).

Globes business news site.
The airline, which provides charter flights for travel wholesalers, will no longer offer train packages that include flights on Saturdays or holidays,

(Reuters) - Bahrain’s national airline Gulf Air signed five agreements with Israeli entities during a Bahraini trade visit in the past week to Israel, Gulf Air said on Wednesday.
The small Gulf state of Bahrain and Israel formalised ties in September.
Gulf Air and Israeli carrier El Al signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday.
Gulf Air also reached an accord with TAL Aviation Group, a travel representation company, to represent the airline in Israel.
