Board of Trustees alumni nominations open Jan. 15 through Feb. 25

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. The Alumni Trustee election process for the Penn State Board of Trustees starts when 2021 Board of Trustees nomination ballots begin being sent on Jan. 15 to all alumni who have a valid email address on file with the University. Nominations will be accepted through 5 p.m. Eastern time on Feb. 25.
Alumni who do not receive the nomination email must request a ballot by going to https://trustees.psu.edu/2021election/. Forms will be processed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time and may take 24 hours for processing. After submitting the request and eligibility has been authenticated, alumni will receive a ballot link and credentials.
Full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in becoming a member of Penn State’s Board of Trustees are asked to submit an application by Feb. 19. Students who are interested in serving as an at-large member of the Student Trustee Selection Committee are asked to submit an application by Feb. 5.
Any full-time undergraduate or graduate student can apply to serve the two-year position alongside Penn State’s Board of Trustees. The only requirement? At least two years remaining at Dear Old State.
Applications to join the selection committee are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 5, while student trustee applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, February 19.
From there, the selection committee will review applications and recommend one candidate to the chair of the Board of Trustees. That student will be interviewed by three trustees and evaluated by the
