A Manheim Township man uploaded and shared dozens of images of child pornography from social media, according to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney Generalâs Child Predator Unit.
Trevor Robert Redcay, 30, was charged with 27 counts of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility Tuesday after he told investigators he had uploaded and sent lewd images of minors as young as 12 using two Snapchat accounts and multiple cellphones, since the end of 2018 or the beginning of 2019, police said. Redcay told investigators he had viewed child pornography on Snapchat as recently as Jan. 11, and had also sent four lewd images on Kik, an instant messaging app.             Â

A family wears protective face masks as they leave the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, Tuesday, Jan. 5. Los Angeles is the epicenter of California’s surge that is expected to get worse in coming weeks when another spike is expected after people traveled or gathered for Christmas and New Year’s. Much of the state is under a stay-home order and open businesses are operating with limited capacity.

I weep with all the health care workers, families and caregivers who, on top of dealing with covid-19, must listen to the hate spewed forth in the name of “personal freedoms.” Yes, it is hate. It is total disregard for the lives of others. It is like you are driving on city streets at 100 mph.

A Greenwood Township restaurant was temporarily closed by Pennsylvania s Department of Agriculture after it was found to be in violation of the state s COVID-19 restrictions on dining.
Aunt Bee s Restaurant, 17408 Smock Drive, was among 33 restaurants closed by order from the department during a round of inspections which occurred from Dec. 21 to 27, according to an announcement from the department Tuesday. The restaurants were closed after the department confirmed they were open for dine-in service and did not comply with the order while an inspector was present.
Of those 33 restaurants, Aunt Bee s is the only one to have subsequently ceased performing dine-in service, thus allowing the closure order against it to be lifted.

On December 8, 2020, a federal court in Pennsylvania rejected a challenge by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the State of Pennsylvania to block a $599 million merger of two hospital and healthcare systems in Philadelphia: the fourteen-hospital Thomas Jefferson University (Jefferson) and the three-hospital Albert Einstein Healthcare Network (Einstein). The court found that the FTC had failed to meet its burden to prove that the merger would result in an increase in prices to insurers and less competition in the relevant geographic market. The FTC has requested the federal district court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit grant a temporary injunction while it appeals the decision. If the emergency motions are denied, the merger could complete as soon as December 21, 2020.
