Pennsylvanians have welcomed two more online poker operators into the Keystone State. BetMGM Poker PA and Borgata Poker PA went live on April 27, effectively ending PokerStars PA’s online poker monopoly.
BetMGM was licensed through its land-based partner Hollywood Casino Grantville, while Borgata entered PA via its partnership with Rivers Philadelphia. Both brands initially launched their online casino services in the state months ago, and have now added online poker to their offerings.

Both BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker are part of the partypoker US Network which is currently running under a joint venture between MGM and Entain, partypoker’s parent company. The partypoker US Network also operates in New Jersey via partypoker NJ, BetMGM Poker NJ, and Borgata Poker NJ.
WSOP.com barely hung on to the top spot with
$988,525, up from $955,000 in February. The
Online Circuit Series has helped WSOP.com’s monthly totals. The platform continues to share liquidity with
Nevada and 888poker in Delaware.
The
partypoker US Network is inching up the leaderboard in the state and had a nice month-over-month gain. Partypoker posted
$957,375, an increase of almost
20% from February.
LearnWPT and is hosting live streamed final tables. Partypoker seems to be gaining momentum in New Jersey.
PokerStars was stuck in third place again, but did see an increase month over month. PokerStars reported
$754,021 in March, up from $728,945 in February.

The former Kmart property at Summerdale Plaza in East Pennsboro Township will be redeveloped into a Tractor Supply store and an AutoZone.

Plans are moving forward for casinos, stores and other business.
Penn National says that casinos in York and Berks counties are expected to be completed by the end of the year. The owners of Park Casino still have their eyes on the Shippensburg area and are moving forward with plans to build the casino on the sight of a former Lowes store.
Casinos are built to
invite you in with gigantic LED signs and animated displays. During
Live! Casino Philadelphia‘s grand opening, strobe lights outside the entrance pointed toward the heavens and could have guided the Rocky statue to the state’s newest casino.
However, the home of
one of the most anticipated arrivals for gamblers in Pennsylvania is quite different. To go there, you need an invite, temperature checks, a trip through a maze of hallways, a ride up a freight elevator, an employee escort and please, no pictures.
