The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from midnight through 1 p.m. Tuesday for much of the region. A coating to 3 inches of snow and sleet, along with a trace of ice, can be expected in much of central Pennsylvania. For the Harrisburg area, 1 to 2 inches of snow and sleet is in the forecast, followed by and one-tenth of an inch of ice.
