(Pennsylvania State Police) AVONDALE, PA An 81-year-old man with dementia who went missing in London Grove Township over the weekend was found dead on Monday at 9:20 a.m. by Pennsylvania State Troopers from the Avondale Barracks. State Police gave no other information in a news statement late Monday morning, but thanked the community and emergency teams for their help since Robert Owens went missing early Saturday morning. Chester County Emergency Services reported public safety professionals were looking for Owens throughout the day on Saturday. Pennsylvania State Police and West Grove Fire Co. reported they were looking for the 5-foot-10-inch man, 81, they said suffers from dementia.

Read / Add Comments A 24-year-old Virginia man lead a wild police pursuit in a dump truck he stole moments after trying to force a woman out of her car while stopped at a red light in Bucks County, authorities said Wednesday. Newtown Township and Lower Makefield police officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle theft on Jan. 5, around 10:50 p.m, at the intersection of the Newtown Bypass and Lindenhurst Road, authorities said. The suspect was later identified as Joseph Anthony Gonzalez, police said. Gonzalez, originally from Ruckersville, Virginia, had caused a disturbance in a nearby BB&T Bank before walking over to the intersection of the Newtown Bypass and tried to forcibly remove a woman from her vehicle while she was stopped at a red light, authorities said.

KARTHAUS — A Karthaus woman is homeless after her home was destroyed on Christmas Day when law enforcement used force to gain access to the residence in an attempt to apprehend her son who had been threatening to harm her and police. LuAnn Quick, 63, had contacted authorities earlier in the day on Christmas Eve because her son, Shannon D. Quick, 46, had recently exhibited disturbing mental health issues. Shannon Quick was apprehended by Clearfield-based state police after a 12-hour standoff in the early hours of Christmas Day at the residence he shared with his mother and nephew on the 100-block of Potter Street in Karthaus Township
