Pennsylvania phone scam advisory issued

The Administrative Office said that anyone receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be involved with the AOPC should hang up the phone. The administration urged the public not to provide the caller with sensitive information or payments of any kind. Anyone receiving such a call should report it to state and/or local police, as well as the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Protection at (800) 441-2555 or scams@attorneygeneral.gov.

Apr 15, 2021 Administrative Office Of Pennsylvania Courts Warning Residents About New Scam (Harrisburg, PA)   The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts is warning residents about a new phone scam that s been going around the state. The office issued an advisory yesterday that warns people of a scam that involves a mimic of its telephone number. Officials say targeted individuals are being told they have unpaid court fines and outstanding fees. Anyone who receives a suspicious call should hang up and contact a state or local police department.
