CHRIS MORELLI cmorelli@lockhaven.com MILL HALL All Central Mountain High School students will return to the classrooms beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The announcement came at Thursday night’s meeting of the Keystone Central School Board. The district had been employing “cohort schedules” for the past several weeks. The cohort schedules featured students A through L (cohort 1) attending class in person on Monday and Tuesday, while Wednesday and Friday were remote. Students M through Z (cohort 2) were remote Monday through Wednesday and in person on Thursday and Friday. “Late (Thursday) afternoon, it was confirmed that Central Mountain High School will be able to bring all students back next week, starting on Tuesday, as we have no school Monday (Feb. 15),” Superintendent Jacquelyn Martin said. “I believe that communications went out to families and staff.”

Pennridge to vote on resolution asking state for change to charter school funding

Pennridge School Board is scheduled to vote on the resolution at the board s Jan. 26 meeting.  This is not a resolution that s advocating one way or another for charter schools in terms of their existence and whether families choose that, Superintendent David Bolton said at the Jan. 11 meeting of the board s Finance Committee.  - Advertisement - This is all about making sure that what we re paying is fair, committee Chair Megan Banis-Clemens said. The purpose of this resolution is to ask for a more fair funding formula for charter school education, and especially cyber charter education, Bolton said in a telephone interview.

INDIANA SCHOOL BOARD PRESIDENT ADDRESSES RUMORS ABOUT HORACE MANN ELEMENTARY

Indiana, PA WCCS AM1160 & 101.1FM Jan 11, 2021 9:06 PM At the Indiana School Board meeting Monday night, Board President Walter Schroth used his board president message to address rumors on social media about the possible closure of a district elementary school. In his message, Schroth addressed the rumors directly, saying that the board has gone above and beyond to remain transparent about all its processes, and make sure that the public’s voice is heard. In other business, the board approved an expansion of a cooperative agreement with IUP for speech-language pathology services.  IUP currently provides those services for literacy programs at Ben Franklin.  That program will now be offered at East Pike.
