PENNSYLVANIA 2020 was extraordinary for Pennsylvania for dozens of reasons, but not the least of which was the fact that the state took center stage in national politics for almost the entire calendar year.
From the pandemic, mail-in ballots, a lengthy primary and general election campaign, all the way down to a bitter and seemingly endless fight in the courts, it was a historic time for Pennsylvania politics.

WASHINGTON (CN) Maybe looking for a Christmas miracle, President Donald Trump petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court on another of his unsuccessful challenges to his 2020 election loss, this one focused on the law governing mail-in Pennsylvania ballots.
The high court which only agrees to hear about 1% of the 10,000-plus cases it receives annually is unlikely to entertain the petition. Just 10 days ago, the court thumb its noses at a Texas-led challenge that sought the extraordinary relief of throwing out the election outcome in four states Trump lost to President-elect Joe Biden: Pennsylvania as well as Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia.

Democrat Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro says he and his wife screamed at the television and told their kids to look away when a commercial for My Pillow featuring Inventor and CEO Mike Lindell came on while he and his family were watching a basketball game together.
Shapiro, who has four children, said he and his wife told the kids “to avert their eyes” when “that awful” Lindell – an avid supporter of President Donald Trump – appeared on the screen, the attorney general tweeted on Tuesday. Lindell’s pillow commercial is “inappropriate content” for his kids, Shapiro wrote:
“That awful My Pillow guy just came on while our family is watching the Sixers game together. Lori and I yelled at the TV and told the kids to avert their eyes because there was inappropriate content on the screen.”
Trump Takes Another Shot At Overturning Pa. Election Results By By
Matthew Santoni Law360 (December 21, 2020, 5:32 PM EST) President Donald Trump s reelection campaign is continuing its long-shot quest to overturn President-elect Joe Biden s win in Pennsylvania, asking the U.S. Supreme Court on Sunday to step in over multiple decisions by the state s high court related to the disqualification or observation of mail-in votes.
Even though overturning the Keystone State s 20 votes alone would not be enough to undo Biden s victory, Trump s campaign filed a petition to the Supreme Court claiming the state justices rulings had allowed enough additional votes to be counted to swing the state for Biden. Those rulings, the campaign said, had held that mail-in ballots couldn t be tossed based on signature comparisons, should be counted even if missing handwritten dates or addresses, and couldn t be closely scrutinized or challenged during the counting
