Police: Man trafficked drugs, firearms in Beaver County
A Pittsburgh man acted as the ringleader of a regional gun and drug trafficking organization in Beaver County and Pittsburgh, police said.
Dennis Alexander, 28, was arrested last week following a 10-month investigation by Pennsylvania Attorney General agents conducted in partnership with the New Brighton Area Police Department and Pittsburgh police.
Alexander is accused of distributing substances including heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and Oxycodone, as well as stolen firearms, to interested buyers. He would then direct “runners” to meet clients in parking lots or at the runner’s home, police said.
During an undercover investigation, one associate of Alexander’s allegedly threatened an undercover agent, saying “this is my house – if the feds hit it, I know it was you.”

The city s vaccine supply remains greatly limited, with efforts focused on health care employees, high-risk groups and essential workers. Officials expect it will take months before the vaccine becomes widely available to all Philadelphia residents who seek it.
Reached Friday afternoon, the health department declined to respond directly to Doroshin s remarks, though spokesperson James Garrow added that the continued allegations against Philly Fighting COVID reinforce that we made the right decision.

The report he is referring to was specifically requested by Mayor Jim Kenney on Friday, who has directed the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to take a number of corrective steps following the fallout with Philly Fighting COVID s vaccine distribution.
On Friday morning, Kenney sent a letter to Farley directing the department to host its own clinics and produce a public report within 30 days detailing how the organization came to work with city.

Pennsylvania State Police on Friday announced citations against Lehigh Valley bars and restaurants for allegedly violating the three-week ban on indoor dining over the holidays.
Gov. Tom Wolf and Dr. Rachel Levine, then the state’s health secretary, instituted the temporary ban that also affected businesses like gyms and casinos as well as high school sports, from Dec. 12 to Jan. 4.
“This virus continues to rage in Pennsylvania,” Wolf said at the time. “And over the past several weeks it’s become clear that we need to take further mitigation actions to protect Pennsylvanians and stop the spread of COVID-19. We all hoped it wouldn’t come to this.”
