Crime by Erin Lyons 29th Dec 2020 7:38 AM A man was found unconscious and later died after police were called to a fight between two women in a neighbouring apartment in Sydney s west on Monday. Officers were called to Parkes Ave in Werrington about 4pm to reports two women were fighting. When they arrived at the unit, they found a woman, 37, suffering a head injury, and in a nearby apartment, a 43-year-old man was found unconscious.

A man has been charged with manufacturing prohibited firearms after police seized three homemade sub-machine guns, one kilo of illicit drugs, stolen vehicles and over $6,000 in cash in Sydney s west.
Penrith Region Enforcement Squad found more than $6,000 during the search and arrest of a 45-year old man on Smith Street at around 3:30pm on Wednesday. Detective Acting Inspector Ashlee DeBakker said the homemade firearms were seized for forensic examination.

Police seized over 50 items during a search warrant at a home in Penrith (pictured) Our investigators have worked swiftly to respond to information relating to the manufacture of prohibited weapons in the local area and have successfully removed extremely harmful guns and weapons from the community, Inspector DeBakker said.
Two men have been charged over an alleged brawl at Penrith overnight.
About 2.20am (Saturday 19 December 2020), emergency services were called to the carpark of a fast food outlet on Mulgoa Road, following reports of a fight.
Police have been told five men were involved in the fight, before three of the men left the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Members of the public assisted the two injured men – aged 35 and 39 – before paramedics attended. Both men were taken to Westmead Hospital with facial injuries.
Following inquiries, officers from Nepean Police Area Command arrested two men – aged 31 and 36 – on Maxwell Street, South Penrith, about 4am.
