Body found in Clarksville was missing man last seen in Oak Grove

Sawyer Clarksville police have located the body of the man who went missing last December in Oak Grove. Detective Michael Patterson says the human remains found Tuesday on Kennedy Road were positively identified as 20-year old Justin Tyler Sawyer. Sawyer was reported missing in December and was last seen at the Shell station on KY 115 near the I-24 interchange in Oak Grove. Kentucky State Police have charged 22-year old Marquell Devont’e Sims and 20-year old Dawuan Davis of Oak Grove with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and kidnapping. Thirty-six-year old Gene “Doug” Henry of Oak Grove is charged with abuse of a corpse.

Work on KY 115 improvements set to begin next week

Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio Jan 25, 2021 8:39 AM Signage is going up on KY 115 this week as improvements to one of the area’s most dangerous roadways are set to begin next week. The work on Pembroke-Oak Grove Road is currently scheduled to begin on Monday, February 1, weather permitting. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says KY 115 between Carneal Lane and Mason Lane will receive improvements that include the replacement of cross drains and minor shoulder repairs. Carneal Lane is adjacent to the I-24 interchange and Mason Lane is south of Pembroke. Upon completion of those efforts, the corridor will be resurfaced. The $2.3 million project is scheduled for completion in October of 2021

KY 115 Improvements To Begin February 2 In Christian County

KYTC Map Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have announced a contractor plans to install signage for work to be conducted on KY 115/Pembroke-Oak Grove Road beginning on Monday, February 2. Kiersten Jaggers, the spokeswoman for District 2, says improvements will be made on KY 115 between Carneal and Mason lanes, which include replacement of cross drains and minor shoulder repairs. Upon completion of the work, she says the corridor will be resurfaced. Jaggers indicates the $2.3 million project is scheduled to be complete in October 2021. According to Jaggers, funds are actively being sought to address additional large-scale improvements on the KY 115 corridor just mentioned. She says because the process of obtaining those funds can be lengthy, efforts are being made now to address improvements.

Two People Severely Injured In Oak Grove Fight

A fight on Pembroke Oak Grove Road led to two women being severely injured Monday night. Oak Grove Police say they are investigating a disturbance between two women that led to them both being injured and possibly stabbed. Christian County emergency personnel say one woman was taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville and a second was flown to a Nashville hospital. Police were called to the apartment in the 9000 block of Pembroke Oak Grove Road just before 9 p.m.
